i have a 1991 240sx hatchback super hicas

keep in mind this is the rear, passenger side:

wat is the best way to get the new studs in after i have knocked out the old ones. i tried hammering the back in but there isnt enough clearance because the heat shield is in the way. im thinking about removing the hub and just hammering it in that way, but i want an opinion first.

if you think taking the hub off is the easiest, please lemme know how to do it because i already have the spindle nut off and it doesnt just slide out. i need step by step information for removing the hub.

I am guessing we are talking about wheel lug studs. get some washers put them on the stud put your lug nut on and run it down on it till the rear portion sits flush against the hub. if your only replacing 1 or 2 studs to keep the hub from turning put the wheel back on with the good studs tighten them the put a lug on the studs you wanna draw in tighten them till the force greatly increases to tighten it any further. take the tire back off inspect your work. if your doing all the studs . put the hub nut back on and tighten it as tight as you can then hold it by that while you draw the studs in. once they bottom out you may loosen the hub nut just retighten it do this till you get 3 studs seated then you can use the wheel on method to do the others. this is easier then trying to remove the hub
