Well I got tired of the stock S radio & FM modulation static for my XM (a new spanish channel is using the last free frequency of the modulator). I picked up a Kenwood DPX-302. The install was simple enough & the Kappa speakers finally awoke. I need to install a grasket around them so they stop vibrating so much. I hooked the extra wire from the antenae adaptor to the switch 12V power on the harness. What gets me is that there is a second harness that pluged into the stock stereo that is not used for anything on the new stereo. I used the screw between the vents for a ground. I tested with a volt meter & it is a good ground.

The next day the TPMS goes into the failure mode blinking routine.

I hope the two are not related.

Nah, You've got the early production one. You must have sneezed too hard and it threw a code.

No go. still on. The tires are at 37 psi as they have been all summer.

On the vibrating speaker/door pannel issue. Is there a cheapo sound deadening material maker? Dyna mat is to expensive, much like monster cable. 75% of the price is for advertising.

I need to have the airbag recal done. I will have them replace whatever is defective this time.

This dealer is great to work with. The 1st time I went I told them of other dealers just restting the system. They refussed & spent over an hour with Nissan support before sending me on my way. When they finally solved the problem with Nissan, They had me come back in. They replaced 1 monitor & the syatem worked for almost 12k miles. They told me to tell the internet boards:

"Never let a dealer reset the TPMS system. They need to pull the code & replace the part that failed. The only time you reset the TPMS is when you get new tires/rims & new TPM are used."
