Just installed a new Pioneer head unit in my 93 240 Vert.With my old OEM unit, the power antenna would only go up when the radio was on. When it was in "cassette mode", the antenna would retract.

With my new head unit, antenna is up whenever the head unit is powered up - am/fm or CD Mode.

Is this a fact of life, or do I have wires mixed up???

Thanks

If the Pioneer has a blue wire AND a blue/white wire, then you want to attatch your power ant. lead to the blue wire. If you only have the blue/white then it will always be up when the stereo is turned on.

Blue = Power ant. leadBlue/white = Amplifier turn-on lead
