New Stereo, check engine light on?

I have a 05' 1.8s sentra, i went to put a new deck in and after the install the check engine light came on. Please help i dont know what to do, there was an extra plug the cam out of the stock stereo but didn't hook in to the new one. Do i need to bridge a treminal or what? oh yeah and when i put the stock stereo back in the light went off.

Try a power reset by taking off the negative on the battery and letting it sit overnight. If the light still comes on, take it to Autozone to have them scan it for free.

Did both and the Autozone code checker couldn't read the code, it was a code not listed in their machine. They told me to take it to the dealer which seems drastic and expensive just for a damn stereo.

If its an '05, the dealer should do it for free! No need to tell them about the stereo. Let them tell you whats wrong.
