Not familiar with that terminology, care to explain? Repin? May be a common procedure just not familiar with it...

You don't need to repin anything. Sounds like he was just randomly throwing out a suggestion.Take apart the ignition column area and isolate exactly which wire it is that you have to move in order for the problem to go away. Post pics if you have to once you find it.

Just replace the switch and be done with it. It's not rocket science.
