Post

i just got me a 95 240sx complete with the s14 blacktop swap.

she has:rebuilt t25cheap fmicgreddy cold air intake3" turbo back buddyclub specII exhaust3" o2 housingempower MBC (set at 10psi)k-sport 32 way coilover suspensionfprs13 cams (no vvt)

anywhoo, i just bought it, and im having some problems

when i first crank it up it runs fine, i cruise around town a bit--get to a stop light and it idles anywhere from 1500-2500. i doesnt do this when first started.

i have pulled off the idle adjust thing and cleaned it out. i have also cleaned out the throttle body, i adjust the idle to ~1100 and it runs fine, for a few hours, then it hops back up. how is this fixed?

problem #2

i have an AEM air fuel ratio gauge on it. and it reads anywhere from 15.1 to --- its maxed out at idle. i need some help with this baaaad. is there any kind of adjusting i can do to the fpr to get it running the correct ratio. if so, how do i do this?

thanks for the advice

My sr idles @ 1400rpm n I just dont mess with it as it runs 100% I would like to get it down to 800rpm as its soo quiet you cant tell its running ! SELL That narrow band gauge CRAP to some ricer honda person as it just junk that lights up! IT IS working the way it should, but what you want is a WIDEBAND kit that tells you the exact Air fuel mixture at any given rpm !

hrmm, sounds like a good idea, its just a pita not knowing if its too lean or too rich

i wanna take it out to the track but i dont wanna royall eff up the sr20

grrrr.

i can get the gauge to show the right mixture at idle, but then my idle gets screwed up (drops to 500 and below) and then i cant get the idle back right, i think for now im more concerned about the screwy idle. the buddy club is loud and it sounds like somethings wrong with it when im sitting at a light and its idling at 2500 rpm

man, i hope i can get this fixed soon. downside to me having it is i dont know too many ppl who know anything about the sr's i used to have a 1st gen talon tsi, and knew plenty of ppl. now i dont...grr @ life in South Carolina.

btw...anyone in the charleston area of South Carolina wanna maybe quite possibly give me a hand with this????

If the idle is good at first when cold then jumps around when warmed up it might be your timming. Is it smooth on start up when already warmed up or is it jumping around on a warmed up start up? The computer advances timming as it warms up. when the temp sensor tells the comp. its fully warmed up timming should be @ 15 advanced.

You adjust the Crank angle sensor (CAS) . Its on the front right side of the head
