I have a friend developing a new coilpack cover for rear-drive SR's, wondering what everyone thinks. Here are some pics, first couple of pics are the production part, the last ones are a test piece installed so he could check the fitment.:

It looks good, but will it clear splitfire coil packs ?

no vents??? heat iis the probelm that causes coil failures

Hmm, not sure on this. How much taller are Splitfire coilpacks? I can check the clearance vs the stock pieces and let you know...

It has vents down both sides, is that what youre looking for? That, or more vents on the top portion?

I'd like it better if it was a little bit thinner so that the parts that the screws go into sit flush with the valve cover.

he said thats not the actual piece just test fitting somthing befor production pieces

If I could make a cover I would either make one out of high temp plastic, or a metal one with vents down the middle of it, kind of like a grill. I almost bought one of those HKS powered metal covers, but when I checked it out it was heavy as hell and had no venting so it would cook some coils fer sure.
