Yup- No way this is happening imo- heres the emails:

My first initiated question:> > I understand this is to fit the 08-09 Altima Coupe, and that it > > does not come with instructions to install, but does it come > with the necessary hardware for installation?> > > > Thank you kindly in advance,> > -Daniel

His reply:> > No it does not. > > > > > > Richie> > THE REST OF HIS SIGNATURE I WILL KEEP ANONYMOUS, BUT YOU CAN EASILY SEE IT ON THE EBAY ITEM PAGE

My reply:

> So the spoiler has no bolts/nuts/screws to apply/install to the > trunklid??> -Daniel

> Nope.> > > ________________________________________________________________________Richie>

My final reply- which might be a bit over the top, but it didn't seem like this guy gave me the amount of time me, a paying customer, would have wanted-:

Ok- well thank you for your time. I cannot understand how this spoiler can be sold without the proper mounting equipment. I hope that the pictures you used, are of a car that realizes you are using his picture, because not only is HE a member of Nico, (Nissan/Infiniti Car Owners) Club of America, but I am also an member of the group and will be sure to pass this information down to those of us that were interested in the spoiler.

If there is nothing else, then thank you for your time.-Daniel

It just really ticked me off because i really liked this, and this guy just passed me off like nothing. blah... so theres my detective work- i'll keep u guys updated if he actually replies with a more respectful response now that i mentioned Nico.... :/

At least he replies quickly...:

As stated, we recommend professionals to install these. If you was to bring it to a professional body shop, they can install it with no problem.

I can't believe my buyer intuition and still thinking this is gna work out well... but... heres my response:

Most of us in Nico do self-installations because there are not many fabricating shops around by us. However I still am interested in this, and you have been timely in returning my emails, which I appreciate. Is there any way on my part to recieve pictures of the mounting/bottom portion of the spoiler/wing? This way I am able to understand the drill pattern and guesstimate what hardware I will need.

Thank you again,-Daniel

So as you guys can see, I'm trying all my options. Yeah the guy was a jerk in the beginning, but im slowly getting more out of him. Which is at least better than one word answers like in the beginning. And even if I buy the spoiler somewhere else, I can at least gain more product knowledge. So... heres to hoping he emails me back today- its 1:11pm by me, so it should be by him too since were both in NY lol- we'll see.

What do you expect? He's an ebay seller. He wants to make as many transactions as he can with as little work as possible.

It's pretty clear that this is just a universal type of spoiler that you need to screw in or tape on at your own risk. There is no JDM style wing considering that there is no JDM Altima coupe.

dan if u like it then buuy it but just get it painted and installed by a shop ur better off that way ifi it makes ur coupe fly/or just flys off its there fault bc they suck at installing thats wat im doing with the roof n trunk spoilers bc i dont wanna be liable

n the reason i say this is bc i didnt do my HID kit wen i first got the car so i let someone else do it. When he fd up and drilled through my firewall he had to pay for it. It was 800 in damages plus i needed a rental soooo he paid for it all.......and thats y from now on im not installing s*** thats a "bigger" item

werd-

im doing this partly because there has been lots of flakyness on ebay before especially with us, and i'm lookin out for everyone- im askin the questions because a few of us have expressed interest and im making sure all the questions are answered for us- today he sent this:

You would have to use 10mm screws. The spoiler already come pre-drilled.

Matt- i totally understand the shop part, but im just making sure of the crap im buying and showing others what kind of a seller we will be dealing with is all.

With that said, I'll still be posting pics in a few days :P lol

Update... the ebay one has SCREWS that drill the side pieces on... the EBAY pic is wrong unless u silcone the flap on.

the mounts are also way bent... and u need to get LONGER screws to hold the wing to the mounts.

andy- its basically the cobalt ss spoiler...

and im not getting it put on till prob mid of march cus it keeps friggin snowing and i dnt wanna put on a spoiler in my trunk while the car is cold. (expansion/contraction) much less have it on and the first week have 10 inches of snow on it.

if u guys want pics of the spoiler itself- i'll send em ur way, but its just a pasted grey fiberglass wing... lol...

and like i said before- u gta change the screws out- and i also think i'm gna thicken parts of it w/ sum compound and put longer screws in.

Sweet! I was waiting for someone to do this cause I always knew a spoiler like that would look good on the A/C. Just not sure about the quality on this one, but definitely need more pics to make a decision. I wonder if any OEM spoilers from say a Lancer, Cobalt or RSX (Type R) would fit on this.

Just wondering if there is an updated vendor for these I'm looking for a spoiler for mine and I'm thinking this is spot on, the original eBay Link does not work for me.

That spoiler isn't a new design. It's been around for years. I still have this spoiler in a box --- brand new and never installed or used. Hit me up if you're interested in buying it. I considered installing it on my coupe....but prefer the more fluid looking spoiler for the coupe.
