Well as many of you already know....I'm not a stereo system kinda guy. My thing is going fast. But....can't really have a show car without a decent stereo in it, plus if I want to watch movies or play video games a sub helps balance stuff.

When I bought my Z it had a 10" bazooka tube in it. Sound was ok but it cluttered up the trunk and if I wanted the tops to fit right i had to take it out. Not to mention it looked cheap. Here's a shot of how it fit.....Enough to aggrivate me. So needless to say, things needed to be changed.

Cliff notes version of how it needed to happen, i wanted it light, had to be lighter than spare, stock junk, and old tube, so my buddy Ron who builds boxes on the side came to the rescue. Told him what I wanted and he delivered.

Started out kinda like this.....he got measuring, cutting, and test fitting....

Seemed ok but I wasn't sold yet. So yesterday he got the amps cut in, it carpeted, all fitted up, all that jazz...and we dropped it in.

Gotta hook up the bottle this weekend....

I definately like it....and he came through, looks stockish, same height, I can fit my t-tops if I need to, its lighter than the all the stuff we took out...basically he's the man. Dude does the stuff on the side so if you guys have a Z and want something cool and affordable i'm sure he can help you out. Or whatever you drive, any of you local NICO guys he builds all our stuff so if you need something I'll have him hook it up...just drop me an e-mail.

And here's a couple more pics for you guys of getting my car ready for the Cleveland Autorama which is next weekend....come check it out if you get a chance.

Put in the new steering wheel that my girlfriend (nsr240sxe) got me for xmas. (flash makes the seats look funny in the pic)

and then she has been a huge help...we detailed up the engine bay the other day.....

Thanks for looking

You have a place for me to crash if I do?

I am on my last TDY with the active Army and no longer subject to 24 hr call like I was with the 41st, so I might actually make it.

You're welcome to crash at my place. I got sleeping bags and stuff if you don't mind crashing on the floor. Think I might even have a cot in the closet. Just let me know.
