new sound system, a bit confused with soem 4

so i ordered my jvc a615 on crutchfield. i did my research and it was either jvc or kenwood. anyways, on crutchfield it stated that i needed pac soem-4 to complete my installation, i have no idea what to do with it, where do i connect it, bose post amp output, pre-bose, where? do i really need it? btw i have an 08 coupe with bose sound system (sucks big time), came out of maxima with all-around kicker sound + 2 cvx in the trunk so bose just not cutting it. any help is greatly and sincerely appreciated, i read the instructions and i'm still confused

I need to look into that module. I'm not particularly familiar with the JVC units. Let me check it out tomorrow and I'll get back to you.

That looks to be a line output converter. I don't see any reason why you would need it unless you are planning on running an aftermarket amplifier. If not, it doesn't look like it has anything to do with your install.

Edit: sorry it took so long to respond. I always try to keep the schedule I say, but then something comes up and it throws everything off.
