alrighty i just picked up a sohc ka24e for my 240, since the current engine in it threw a rod..

i picked up this engine for $200 and it has rebuilt alternator, and according to owner doesn't leak or burn oil! anything i should check for? i just sprayed it down with a hose to get all the anti-freeze off it, if the wire connector parts get wet that won't hurt anything will it?

Yeah they're ok just don't get the valucraft stuff. I worked there for a while and had valucraft stuff come back A LOT. Anything else there will work just fine for ya though.

hmm, you able to conclude anything by just taking the valve cover off? .. it seems pretty clean, smell of oil, nothing unusual
