Wow. Sometimes I forget what it means to have some new tires. Just spent $900 and got 4 new Toyos today.

I'd post pics, but they're just stock sized tires so nothing special...can barely tell I changed them at all in appearance.

However, I would recommend these to ANYBODY looking for the ultimate in quiet ride, and durability. They don't seem as stiff as my potenzas, and a bit floatier, but they are truly silent. Sounds like driving on some nicely packed snow...can't hear a thing.

So, after replacing every rubber component in the suspension with OEM parts, as well as the shocks (adjustable Anniversary Edition), I was really hoping to restore the ride to showroom condition.

However, I've noticed that at WOT at moderate speeds (50-70), or at speeds over 100mph, I have a slight wobble in the rear end. I've been meticulous with changing all fluids in the car with synthetic M1 and was wondering if anybody might have any input on why this might be. Kind of a shudder.

You mean side to side? Might check all suspension arms and mounts after your recent exploratory manuevers.

I picked up a set of these 245/45ZR18 off ebay recently for slightly under $400 shipped.

So far I've been very happy with them. They grip better than the Sumitomos I had and are nice and quiet. At this price, I can worry less about perfect alignment, rotations etc. If you're thinking of buying from ebay, be careful of the seller... he gave me the run around for weeks until I threatened to take it to ebay/paypal. At one point, he tried to hold my money hostage for a good feedback. Eventually he refunded some of my shipping and sent the tires. I didn't link to his ebay page because he doesnt' deserve it.

Oddly enough, it's not a side to side shudder. The rear end feels rock solid...it almost feels like a shudder in the drivetrain, front to back (but more from the rear than the front). It's not something passengers notice but we all know how we love our Q's and feel everything. Especially now with the new suspension and tires, it feels 110% except for this *mildly* annoying "shudder."

I'm basically wondering, is there any maintenance on a RWD drive that I was unaware of short of changing transmission fluid, filter, and diff fluid? I.e....wear items? I'll see if I can get under there this weekend, but was just wondering if anyone has had similar experiences with our Q's. I've always been a FWD guy before my j30 and Q.
