Inline six, twin turbo...the way it should be...though I'd settle for an inline six single turbo too.

I hope they don't bastardize the GTR name

stick to the Skyline tradition, you don't see them sticking V6s in Evolutions or WRXs when they bring them over... wouldn't make sense!

Although, Rockenreno, the new V6 in the new Audi TT is definitely a step in the right direction. Finally the TT namesake will be justified.

different cars, diff. subjects i know... sorry.

Nah, I wouldn't buy a new skyline if it didn't have the Inline 6 twin turbo. If I wanted a V series enging, I would buy a 350Z or 300ZX.

We're probably getting stuck with a tt V-6 or something like that, although if there is a God we'll get an inline 6 and everyone's prayers will be answered, although it's looking more and more like emissions will screw us on that despite the fact that long-term reliability will be infinitely better(especially under high-boost) with an inline 6

A new Skyline with anything other then an RB or atleast a hybrid of that series is a disgrace. The name should be changed. Anything else is just a 300Z or 350Z. How can you go from the R34 to that new flagship....makes me sick.

i believe its going to be the same motor in the new Z or G35 just a single turbo instead of non-turbo also since it will be in the states it will have left hand drive.

Hell, while we are talkin about it... (extreme optimism bordering on insanity) The GTR will have a new generation AWD system based on the R34 GT-R ATTESA ET-S. It would be sweet if they would twin turbo the 4.5 V8. Not saying that it would ever happen... but it would be sweet. I just pray it wont be N/A. The spirit of the Skyline is synonymous with turbocharging. It would be a shame to bring over a legend and then cut its balls off.

it will be a Vee of some kind, likely a twin turbo VQ35. I suspect that's why the Skyline and Z came NA to make room for the GT-R with twins. Nissan under the frog regime is consolidating platforms and powerplants and with that in mind it will likely be the VQ35. At any rate I should be up to speed with my next project car so I will hang out in front of the Nissan dealer with my Skyline, Silvia or 7 so I can "break them in" proper as they roll out for test drives! peice of crap europanese ****box!

It's a long story. to "Dan" is to hang halfway out the window of the car yelling curses at your opponent at 100+ mph while racing. It's namesake was the master of high speed mid-race intimidation thus the moniker, he is legendary around here for it. He has since gone to Germany wher he is doing the same thing behind the wheel of a smack-yo-mamma-yellow EVO 7 Lancer.

why isn't the rb series engine a choice?

it's really sad to see nissan make such a dumb decision to go with a V engine,

i just wanna know which retard in france or japan or wherever the hell the carlos ghosen guy, is making all these dumbass decisions,

who the hell is telling nissan that the silvia won't sell here? who the hell is telling them that people here want a VQ or VG in their skyline? which idiot is responsible for me having to cry myself to sleep at night because i can never have these cars..... oops.... forget that last thing

hey madscientist, you could convince his wife that he's cheating on her and then suggest to her that she hop in her mercedes and run him over several times, coz we all know she'd get some light prison sentence and then the U.S. might get the good engines.

Yo KoukiS14, I drive a blue 1st gen Nissan Altima on 18 inch wheels, although most likely you havent seen it this semester as it has been back at home in need of tires, a window, and for me to re-install my system that somebody attempted to crawl thru my window and steal... although the alarm scared em away. GT-R!!!!!!!!
