Just got it. How many miles should I keep it under 55mph?

Congrats on the new car! The break-in period is about 1200 miles. Then you can open her up

Cool thanks man.

Anyone with a 3.5 hear a clicking noise when over 4,000 rpms?

Love the silver. Easiest color to keep clean

Welcome to NICO btw

A clicking noise? Nothing that I've heard of. Can you describe it a little more?

It clicks/ticks for like half a second, when I hit 4,000 rpms, sounds like something is loose.

Do you hear anything other then "regular" engine noise on your 3.5?

Might have to bring it back in...

Is it a one time click/tick deal when first driving? If so, it's the ABS doing a brake system check. I noticed this click sound with my last car when first drving after it has been sitting for a few hours. I asked service about this sound with my last Nissan and I was reassured that it was the ABS. Now with the new Altima, I notice that exact clicking sound about the first 30 feet of driving.

Bring it in and see if they can replicate the issue. Thats what you have the warranty for

I haven't experienced anything of the sort. I have a sensitive ear, and I'll pick up on any and all ticks, creaks or cracks.

I've already test driven Altima's and took it over 55 mph. Just stay away from redline for the first 1200.

Seriously folks the 1200 mile break-in thing is from centuries ago. Carmakers are just using it so they can cover their ***. An engine like the VQ wasn't made using cheap stuff, you can play with it from the get-go. Actually from what I hear the first 100 miles are the most important for the piston rings seating.

Yea silver was my favorite color for this car...

Do you notice a hissing/scratching/ticking noise exactly at 3,000 rpms?

Really weird, car is brand new, shouldn't being making any other noise other than the sound of a G35 lol.
