It has been time to get new tires for the G for a few months now. So today I pulled the trigger, after weeks of looking at tires and reviews.

I ordered a set of Nitto NT 555's. They are a time tested tire, and have had a lot of good reviews.

They will be in tomorrow and I will install them tomorrow night and recheck my alignment. The perks of being a Tech.

I will post on the tires every few hundred miles to update.

Sweet! I've heard good things as well about them. We had some sort of a deal with them not too long ago as well.

Keep us updated!

I thought I would try the Nitto Invo's. Just got them put on today. $1000 out the door. One of the disadvantages of not being a tech......

Yet the benifit of being a Tech is great. Got the tires for 660.00. And the labor to mount/ balance and align. the car is FREE!

A friend of mine has the INVO's on his Civic Hatch Time attack car. He uses them for "daily driving" and driving to the track and back. He is impresses w/ them. Handle well and have very good traction. He is making 278 whp on low boost.

I think he has somewhere around 5-7k miles on them and they still look new. Even w/ the camber and toe settings he uses for racing.

Glad to hear another good comment on the Invo's. When I saw that you got the 555's I was wondering if you knew something I didn't. I was so sick of reading conflicting reviews that I just decided to go with the invo's. My other choice was Toyo Proxy's or Tr1's but I really wanted to stay with the stock tire size. I have a 4 yr old daughter and this is my only car. She is VERY critical of ride quality or else I would have tried 275/35/19's. It can be both funny and aggrivating when she voices her opinion of my current car and driving style. Those women are apparently born with the ability to critique

At the Infiniti dealership now getting SPC camber kits on front and rear. Gonna try Tein S-tech 350Z springs in upcoming spring when I buy an additional car for DD.

I'll be watching to see how you like the 555s so please don't forget to update us. I am particularly interested in tire wear and resulting road noise.

No problem. They came in this morning. Damn these things look BIG! May just be that the Mich. are wore out.

Keep us up dated on the Invo's too.

You will be very happy w/ S-Techs. I had a set on my wife's Eclipse Spider Turbo, with Tokico Illumina shocks/struts set at 3. Ride was very near stock but got firm very fast in the twisties.

Quick update.

I have put about 50 miles on them now. These things are QUIET. I love my car now.

Traction is very good. So far I have not had the VDC kick in taking off from a light or in very hard cornering, or on the 1-2 up shift.

Took a few off ramps today at lunch at 60+ and not even a hint of sliding.

Steer in responce is excellent! Turn the wheel and the car points that direction NOW!

Ride is the same as the stock Mich. Pilot Sports.
