Hello my freinds, I didn't come up with anything on a search, so I just made a new thread. I plan on getting the KYB AGXs for my s13 pretty soon, and was wondering how difficult it is for the install. I have pretty limited knowledge about this area, but I've got a buddy with a spring compressor, and he's willing to help and pretty knowledgable. How long do you think it'd take? Anything I should know in advance? Tricks? Tough spots, etc?

Thanks,Nick.

My perspective is with the right tool anything is possible. Hopefully have a friend who likes you enough to help. Go to auto zone or pep boys and rent a spring compressor. Hopefully have an impact and a couple of metric sockets layin around, If not go to your local please take my money mechanic. Nobody said its easy. Good Luck.:alcoholic

You dont need an impact but 0n my left front the last one i put in took me about an hour to remove. One of the factory bolts, one of the two holding the bottom of the strut assembly, was cross threaded so without either an impact which still didnt get it. i had to use a metal cutter to cut through it. We heated it, everything you could think of. Overall an easy install except for the one bolt(I saved because it was such a sob). My point could be a 2 hour job, or a 2 day job. The right tools.
