This is for a 2002 Pathfinder 4wd Chilkoot edition

I bought my pathfinder a few months ago. It has a 4" subframe drop (lift).

The front (struts) seem to have spacers, but the rear (shocks) do not. I'm guessing he bought longer shocks for the rear (I know he replaced them with stiffer shocks hoping to get better gas mileage).

The ride is pretty rough. Particularly in the rear. Whenever the rear tires go over the smallest bump, it feels like there are zero shocks and it sounds like the windows rattle.

I'd like to replace at least the rear shocks and maybe the front struts. However, the sites that I order from to get the right part are almost definitely the wrong length because of the 4" lift.

Anyone know how I could find the right shocks and struts?

Thanks.

Check the shock mounts. Pics would be nice. Sometimes it is necessary to replace those mounts when lifting the vehicle that much, so that might help you narrow down which shock to purchase. Also check the rear coils and coil mounts. Not too many are still on this forum with big lifts, but maybe someone will chime in.

It wouldn't hurt to take it to a shop for a little diagnosis and recommendation on parts. Even if it costs $50 for the diagnosis, that is better than buying the wrong parts, installing them, breaking them, and then being back to shopping for parts.

Post some pics of that lift!
