Whats the a/r on turbo b? sounds like turbo a would have more high end, take longer to spool, and have more hp where turbo b might have a less of a cliff for a dyno curve and be better for autox.

50-trim.

57-trims suck. My friend has one on his DSM and it surges like a mofo and he has to run 20+ psi for it to be even close to efficient.

I'm with Chris, go with the 50 trim (turbo B). You'll be unhappy with that 57 unless you're strickly drag racing it and that's it.

nope, not a drag guy. my main focus would be autox and whatever else requires a decent, quick spool...thanks a bunch fellas.

miata 1.8L performance very similar to our ca18... pretty close with same turbo/same psi actually. In thread below, Crash41301 ran a 57trim on his street miata. Seem to like it enough for a another go round on his next miata project. His old miata ran 11.0 @125mph, 57 trim @23psi He was more biased towards chasing ETs tho.http://forum.miata.net/vb/showthread.php?t=196829
