I know the current Sentra is due for an update. Has anyone heard when and what it might look like?

This is all I've seen, not much info but everything seems consistent that it will have the Juke powerplant. Now only if it had the Juke drivetrain lol.

Thanks 06blackout! Looks as though it will be the recently released Sunny on the B platform. It appears to be better looking than the current slab-sided C version. I'm a Versa driver so I know all about the B platform. Everyone these days is building a "world car" and Nissan isn't any different. Makes a lot of sense to keep things consistent all around the world. Just think of the money Nissan will save. Before you know it, we'll have come full circle and it will be like the Model T days... that's all there is; take it or leave it!

Makes sense. The bad news is in stock form it loses some gusto. The good news is Tuners will be able to squeeze more juice from this platform.

I am surprised (as is Nissan, I'd bet) that the Juke has sold as well as it has. It gets a lot of good press and is amazing value for the money. It's small because of the B platform but offers a lot in other ways. Perhaps it is a sign of things to come. The new power plant seems promising. I'm sure we'll see it again on upcoming Nissan releases. After the new wears off and you're stuck with that bizzare front end, I'm wondering how popular it will be. I'm not against it; I just can't figure out what they were thinking!

I just hope the same issues that the new Cobalt SS have don't come to light with this new setup, yes the new Cobalt has a ton of power, but, it makes it with pretty high boost from the factory, leaving not much room for boost increase.

It's about time for Nissan to update the Sentra. It was never as successful as the Corolla or Civic, but is a good choice nonetheless. Nissan has a another chance to produce an attractive winner that should be appealing to compact buyers. They just need to up the quality where it counts - on the parts you see and touch. I'm looking forward to it as well as a freshened-up Versa. Come on, Nissan. Now that you're getting your mojo back, it's time to take it to Toyota and Honda. Show 'em you still got it!
