First of all I would like to fight back against all those people that call the S13 seats "a torture from hell". I personally think they are very comfortable and do an amazing job at keeping you in place during rutns, especially considering they came in a "low budget" performance car. However I do have to say that the design of the left side support in the driver's seat sucks and in almost every S13 that I have seen there is a huge rip which looks like crap.So I've been considering my options and I decided against another set of stock seats: if I am going to take the money and the time to install new seats might as well upgrade. I was thinking some cheap racing buckets with a decent carbon fiber back support would be enough, nothing too expensive, but once again Stephen Lynn (my import supplier) has come through for me. I called him and asked him if I could just order the seats directly from Japan through him and he told me that he has a set of R32 GTR front seats in stock and that I can have both of them for about $250. Now here is my question: At this moment, my time is worth more than my money so will the R32 seats be as direct fit? Will it just be very minor alterations to the seat rails? Otherwise I will just lay down the additional money and get a cheap set of racing buckets. Thanks for your input.

From what I've seen, there is not are not extensive modifications that need to be made, the seat rail needs a pieced to come off of the bolt holes and go out like 1 or 2 inches, but if you can weld then it takes like 20 minutes to fit them up. Great buy for a replacement seat

$250 for a pair of R32 seats? That deal just for you? Are they new seats? I've heard that 3 of the 4 bolts line up properly.

$250 for some used stock r32 gtr seats???? i didnt know that they went for so much in the states... they go for about 30~60 a seat here depending on the condition.. ive never seen anybody with them tho... theyre not too popular.. i think ur better off getting some used recaros or brides.... shouldnt cost more than $100 a seat

I would assume 250 = price of seat + profit + shipping. Seats are pretty big to ship.

Well, if you are going with aftermarket seats, Be wary of the height and long wait for brackets .

For fastbacks and coupes w/ no sunroof, you may be fine.

I'm about 5'10" and have an 89 coupe w/ power sunroof. When I installed my Megan Racing seats w/ sliders and bracket, I can barely sit even at super getto low rider angles.

The seats themselves were amazingly comfortable off the car and when you are a passenger, but driving, it's kinda hard bcs my head bumps the roof.

I ended up taking out the sliders and custom drilling the bracket, helped a little, but I'm still kind of slouched.

Bucket seats may be a diff story since you can get side mount ones.

Also, I ordered Sparco brackets, and they took around 2 months to arrive! This is a common story w/ a lot of people w/ seats.

If you really want to be fancy (but this takes lots of time) get 300zx seats... mmm, sexy... I know a few Nico members have done this.

the skyline seats, 3 of the 4 bolts will line up, and the 4th is only line one inch off (just drill anther hole in the rail, and bold that biatch it) may want to make some kind of metal plate to get it level.

my roomate has a set of r32 GTs-t seats in his right now. pretty comfy.

another option you may want to look into is some s15 seats, they are a direct bolt in. and also s14 seats. (i have a set of s14 seats) and they are pretty comfy

I've also been considering S15 seats, but they look exacty the same as S14 seats wrapped in better material.
