thats nicce, i hope they bring some drift events over to the east coast. and formula drift tv? sounds like a good thing to me!

They are looking to try English Town's new road course. I have been on it and it is a lot of fun. I don't know how they would do the spectator seating though.

something tells me that in the land of the lawyer you wont be seeing as much of the fun/crazy antics you seen in japanese drift shows.

They allow you to do things based on skill level. At DD9 novice drivers had windows closed and no passengers while pros were out of the car rodeo style.

I am excited to see what it will eventually turn out to be, it will be nice not having to worry about the 5.0 behind me everytime I throw it sideways!

I don't have anything against drifting, but I do think it's a shame that the SCCA adopted it. It's the first SCCA sport that isn't timed. I just don't think it fits with what the SCCA is for. Although it will be a good way for them to get some extra cash.
