the article in super street (page 64 or sumn like that) reads like this,
"Tetsu's TailsAs it stands, Nissan is making plans to resurrect the Silvia in 2006. The all-new car, convieniantly coded S16, is likely to be offered with three engine choices. The base model should sport the QR20DE inline-four, based on the engine used in Nissan's European Touring Cars. The next step up may be the VQ23, a compact 2.3L V-6 powerplant. The piece de resistance will likely be a new supercharged VQ25. Early rumors had surfaced that the s16 would be marketed as the next-generation Sentra coupe here in the US, but reliable sourtces say thats incorrect. It is likely that platform will be sold in limited numbers sometime early next year. With that said, we can tell you there will be another Silvia, but we can't assure you of its drivetrain layout, or weither or not we'll ever be seeing it staeside. One can only hope. There's more exciting work being done at nissan. In addition to building an all new silvia, Nissan, along with its motorsports division, nismo, will be offering a special version of the R34 GT-R for sale, dubbed z-tune. Nismo will start by bla bla bla, the rest is about skylines and nismo's special deal for their 60th anniversery....
Personally i think Nissan should keep the S16 FR setup. Although they do say it may or may not come to the states..... I still wish it had pop-up lights tho.... thats why i fell in love with the s13.
