theyre not OEM, chinease ripoffs. Depends how long you want the rotors to last..

Note that many cheap rotors need to be indexed PRIOR TO INTIAL INSTALLATION, if that gives you an idea of build quality.

In the end you probably end up spending the same amount.

They're not OEM, they're OEM replacements .

They're made with either cheaper quality "metal" or to lower tolerances, regardless of what they say about them.

If you're not concerned about warping or vibrations under breaking, then they might be okay. Otherwise, pay the extra and get real OEM from Joe, or source Z32 OEM stuff for a swap/upgrade.

I do realize their not true OEM Nissan manufactur, but my fundage is too low to get those so in the meantime I thought they'd do for now. If I had the money to pay more I'd order the stuff from Joe.

I swear they won't be satisfactory. I bought a similar set that were drilled/slotted and they were terrible, I mean really bad!!

Here's the kicker, I don't mind experimenting on cheap parts, especially if you can return them but-rotors are expensive to ship, especially so when you're paying the shipping!!

why cant you turn the rotors you have now? Surely you can wait until you can get good ones.

OEM IMO are over priced, you can sitll pay less than OEM and get good quality.

Probably Rotor works is one of the worst out there. Advertised some Axxis pads that does not even exist. Learned my lesson and went back to OEM.

Wait unless you want to do the labor and pads twice, plus true them again.

Ok. I didn't buy the aftermarket rotors. I decided OEM was better and y'all were right. New to the local pull a part was a 94 Q and the rotors and brakes looked great. (This was one of those that was obviously junked because of the damaged body.) I'm gonna pull all four clean them, paint them with high temp paint and have them turned at a quality shop. Should come out to about the same price and have OEM parts. What do ya'll think about that plan?

Not good as new but your definitely getting a lot more bang for the buck then anything aftermarket. If they looked pretty new then they probably are

You will need new pads. Not sure if this is an improvement over what you havesince what you have is free less the turning.

Be sure to measure your hub run-out also.

Yeah I got new OEM pads from Joe. The rotors I have on the Q (original) are shot. Calipers froze up on two and ruined the rotors.

Then get thee to thine junkyard.

New drilled Stillen Brembos from Joe are about $375 when they are on special.

Get a shim kit from him in case you need it. The likely hood may be high.

I've got new pads, and good clean shims.

The rotors are at the shop getting turned and the guy sounds like he knows his stuff. Runout, minimums, etc.

I've cleaned up all caliper parts, especially the caliper brakets, bolts, etc. I worked hard to clean that little hole where the caliper slide pins go. I'll be really stuffing it with good high temp brake grease.

Should I use anti-sieze anywhere? I was thinking about those 17mm bolts that hold the caliper braket in. Could it be put anywhere to help the rotors from being so hard to pull off later as they are from time to time?

I'm excited about getting this fixed. That should put the old Q back on the road for the first time in months!

From their fine print in ad:

"Vain structure could differ from OE rotor" .........saves weight."Near Zero run-out" ............................not perfect"100% inspected for balance"...............inspected just not fixed

From the look and wording these appear to be equal to the generic economy version from Centric which would cost us $25.62 each delivered.

We don't hate the customer enough to use them insisting on the $74 [our cost] quality versions.

Dennis,

I had a moment of weakness, but came to my senses before I made a mistake. I'd have worried about them the whole time.

I've had an OEM set turned, the guy said they were well within specs and had no run out. I ended up with a newly turned OEM rotors for about $100 and some sweat equity.

Mucho Better.

I also had a moment of weakness also when I saw some drilled / slotted rotors for like $200 shipped. I don't trust them so I just had my original rotors machined / trued at Midas. $40 cash... awesome.
