After doing all I can, I found a Nissan Rogue with Gotham gray and black leather interior, Premium Package, Moon roof, splash guards, bumper protector, moon roof and moon roof deflector. First, I test drove in a manual gear and the sound was horrible. It thought no way I could buy this car, but the dealer showed me how we need to put in a drive mode. Anyways, this is the only car I find with the options that I want, but it has about 250 miles. Can I go for it? I already put a down payment, but I am afraid that many people test drove and didn't handle it properly.

Did you ask why it has 250 miles on it already? Maybe the dealer drove it from some other dealer. My first new car had over 200km on it because they drove it in from somewhere.

I have to admit...I'm like you...I'd prefer that the clock read under 50 mileswhen I buy.....BUT, it actually what you are comfortable with....?? But, before you go any further or take possession, try the following....

If you like the car, and its hard to find what you are after, use this as abargaining point.....tell them you thought about it overnight and the 250miles really bugs you, that it seems like a demo to you.....and, that unlesshe gives you some incentive to buy it, or compensates you in some way, that you will just keep looking. Stick to your guns to the point of walkingout the door, and he will come around, I guarantee you! The only realargument he will say is that it comes with full factory warranty....the ballis in your court. The walking out the door to keep looking.... will get themdealing over 90% of the time!

Mine had 273 on it and it did not concern me. I have to say this is no sports car and I can't believe people are out there driving the hell out of them on the test run. Especially if its a car they want to buy, why do that to something your going to baby? Look at the inspection sticker and that will give you an idea of how long the car has been on the lot. Mine was on the lot 2 months before I bought it.

I have to admit I drove a little more 'spirited' but did not abuse the 2 Rogues I test drove before buying mine. A couple of acceleration runs while merging & taking off from a stop light. But nothing that would ever hurt the vehicle.

I can appreciate your concerns about mileage and if it really bothers you, ask the dealer to bring in a low mileage model. BTW, mine had 59km or 35mi on it when i took delivery.

My Rogue had more than 250mi when I bought it, I honestly dont remember but it was under 1000mi for sure. The miles coupled with the color, my wife and I really wanted the blue, netted us a pair of Nissan bike racks.

We told the dealer that we loved the car except for the color and would be willing to wait for a blue Rogue. He called us the next day to say that he was not going to have a blue one in for quite awhile in the trim level we wanted (everything but leather). He then said that if it was acceptable he would include the bike racks for no charge to compensate us for the color and the higher miles than normal.

We both felt that was fair and went for it. Just be willing to walk and you'll get what you want.

Mine had 275 miles. The car was swapped in from the Council Bluffs, Iowa dealership. (My dealer keeps a large stock of cars and seems to do a lot of swapping to get other dealers the cars they need.)

I didn't think to ask exactly what route they took to get the car here from Council Bluffs that would put 275 miles on it, seeing as Council Bluffs is 130 miles from here...

250 miles of test driving is OK But if it came from another dealer and someone drove it 80 MPH for that distance I would not buy it. Engine break in should not be done at constant speed for long peroids of time. Read the owner manual.I as offered a Rogue in the color I wanted from a dealer 200 miles away that was all Interstate driving and I said NO. I waited for a new one off the truck.I have read of people that have gotten cars from a long distance and drove them home on the Interstate. After the drive home it never got the fuel milage it should have.

My Rogue had 350+ when I got it, because the dealer had to go to Northern Vermont to get it. I know I always wanted a car with 1 mi on it, but it isn't really that critical.

Go for it Rogue is awesome.
