Advan A048's.

Now give us some criteria for 'best' and we can actually help you. Whats your budget? Do you care about wet traction? What sizes do you want to run? Have you ever driven on R-Compounds before? Do you care about tread-life? etc....

these are my priorities, long tread life, good wet traction, and decent, good sporty grip, but within the budget of 200-300 dollars. this is be my daily driver which will see ocassional track time, mostly auto x, if I am lucky the very rare ocasional drift comp. whats the best size aswell? 245/45/16? 215/40/16?

Size-wise I suggest 225/50. There is too much meat in a 245 for an 8" rim. The sidewalls would be square to bloated equalling a less than ideal contact patch. Ultimately you need a slight stretch to maximize the footprint. Look to any performance oriented stock BMW for a good example of tire sizing. As for the tire itself? Yokohama es 100. Good pricing, good life, good overall tire. Not THE greatest, but definitely meets the criteria. Happy hunting.

bump your budget up less than $100 and the possibilities become endless, but theres really nothing special in the size youll need below 75 per tire
