My obsessiveness over my new G has resulted in spending countless hours infront of the computer looking up various parts and accessories, until i come to the sad realization that i am quite broke and unable to afford anything i look at. (have about a grand in the bank)

i have an excuse though, im 18 and work a useless minimum wage job. parents have also decided that i must pay for gas+insurance.

OKAY. so my point.... i was looking at rims today (on ebay/craiglist) and found that ADR rims are significantly cheaper than others. being the good forum goer that i am, i quickly searched too see what the deal is with these ADRs. first hit is someone talking about how terrible they are. then i googled to see what anyone else had to say. i had many mixed reviews. SOOOOOOOOOO i am wondering if anyone here has any opinions. they are nice rims.... but the fact that they are so much cheaper than all others scares me.

Ruff racing 279s... they run about $800 a set shipped for 18inch and $1000 a set shipped for 19inch

You're looking at $1200 - $1400 with wheels and tires and they fit the G35 PERFECT.

Look at it this way. You're parents are responsible and are teaching you a valuable lesson about needs and desires. Paying for our own cars is something almost every one of us here understands. You'll thank your parents later. You've all ready got a car nicer than 99.9% of the 18 yr old guys out there. Enjoy what you have, 'cause if you submit to the mod bug, you'll never have any money in the bank... or, as telcoman would say, put your extra money in your 401...

If all you have is 1000.00 dont spend it on rims !!! You are very lucky to have parents paying for your car payments PERIOD, and at that, you have a really nice car for someone 18. My parents made me pay for everything on my own, and I actually thank them for it. It has made me appreciate my vehicles a ton more than my freinds who messed up their cars that their parents paid for. I am 26 now so that is not a factor, but I would continue to save your money......

and please, please, please, DO NOT USE A CREDIT CARD ! - worst idea possible

just my .02

What he means, I'm sure, is don't use a credit card for daily purchases. Too many people get into debt too quickly. If you plan to use a credit card, you should pay if off right away. I used to work at Discover Card and had to watch a lot of people hate their life because they were in debt. The average consumer in USA has $9,000 in credit card debt!

I'm 20, almost 21 and I drive a G But I'd have to agree with everyone here... save your money, don't waste it on rims. Unless you save up enough and get HREs or something like that The other day I saw a blue G37 with blue painted HRE rims and it was
