new rim question for drifting

I am about to get new rims for my 1990 s13. I am getting 17" wheels but I would like to know how wide to get them for drift autocross application, 7.5" ?

try for atleast an 8" width. You can run 205's if your low powered and up to 225's and still have a nice square sidewall, you can even go much larger if you feel the need.
