new rear rotors?

Ok So I had some REALLY worn down rotors on my rear drivers side. My brother helped me out and took me to Pep Boys to get a new one. The guy punched in the year make and model correct and gave a new rotor. It looked correct to me. Well when we put it back on it looked a smaller. It turns out it was by like 1/2 inch in the radius. I didnt feel like going back and exchanging it as I needed to drive my z as soon as possible. Well the brake bad only go on like 3/4 of the way. Will this be a big problem? Keep in mind its just the rear. And has anyone else ran into this problem. Everything else about the rotor seems correct as it fits in there perfectly. I am wondering if the guy was just a moron and got me a different rotor.

You might have gotten a diffrent rotor Since your not supposed to have those problems.
