new rear end???

does anyone know if there are any positrac rear ends that i can put in my 85 300zx without alot of fab work

"posi-trac" is a trademark name used by GM for their LSD's, the 87.5-89 300 ZX came with a Clutch Type LSD that bolts right into your car, you might have to swap over your pinion flange but otherwise a direct replacemnt, same long snout R200 housing and carrier, the gear ratio's might be a bit different, they were 3.54 IIRC

The 88 Shiro Special came with a VLSD. There are also several aftermarket ones if memory serves.

the viscous requires the viscous output shafts, cv shafts and companion flange, aftermarket units are carrier only so you have to have the ring gear installed and the pinion depth set
