New Rear Differential Plug

I have a 2003 G35 Sedan and whoever had it last didn't know how to use the right tool! My rear differential plug is so messed up that if I'm afraid to take it out if I don't have a new one to put back in. The Nissan dealer here say's he can't get just the plug, but will have to order the whole cover and he's not sure it includes the plug. Where can I get a new rear differential plug for my ride? Or maybe the technical specs on size, and I'll just go to the hardware store. Please help.

That's a tough one...you may have luck with taking it off and going to a parts/hardware store for a replacement.

Thanks joe603. Seemed bizarre to me that the kid behind the Nissan counter was no help at all. Don't they have a technical diagram with part numbers? Since I have the "always get the rookie" curse at cash registers, I thought I would have better luck online, but not so far.

I've searched a few parts databases...it's just not an easy one to find!
