So I decided I wanted to put a nicer Radio in 2012 Rogue. And here it is. I went with a Kenwood DDX319. The place where I bought it from had everything except the radio kit so I fabricated something until the kit arrives. What do you think?

Cool, does it support the backup cam and what speakers did you go with and how do they fit?

Yes, the backup camera works. Took some time to locate the right wires but I got it. I am still using the stock speakers for now. Call it a budget build. It also has the adapter for the steering wheel controls to work but Ill buy that another time.

this is tempting, since I'm not really satisfied with the size of the stock screen. does your original have the NAV? does it still work?

If you do a search for my username you'll see I replaced mine with a JVC Nav unit. I ran into the same problem as you, it has too much space when you take out the factory stereo. How long do you think till you will get a kit?

Thanks, I kinda like the integrated NAV and sirius so I may hold off on the upgrade. But I really want a bigger screen :D

I figure you installed it by your self? was it easy?

I have a 2011 with the stock radio and I'm looking to replace it with a pioneer appradio 2. But I just bought the car so I'm looking get my budget together and do it soon! I'll probably have mines professionally installed because I'm savy with that kind of stuff at all. But I definitely will post pictures after the install and maybe even a video on youtube! I'll keep you guys posted!

Kojack I completed the project this weekend with my dad :) I created the thread a little while ago. I have to take better pictures of the radio on and the screen cleaned up. I'll do that either tonight or tomorrow and modify the thread. For now go take a peak and let me know what you think! :rotflmao :rotflmao :rotflmao

Did you get the new Metra kit? I wasn't able to find it and had to fab up something for my dash.

I got this:

Quite honestly, it looks like I could have unbolted the factory brackets and used them instead.

The install went without a hitch, I just need to notch the kit a small bit to make the radio a bit more flush as I left off the trim ring, though it looks fine as is.
I installed the BT speaker in the empty speaker hole in the dash and so far it is working fine.

I have some pics I took in the dark that I will upload if I get a chance today.

Ah gotcha. You have the regular dash not the special edition cutout. Looks much cleaner then mine.
