This is more of a vent post but I bought a new radiator a few months back and I should have known from the start it was a bad one when it caused my transmission fluid to overheat. Recently my lower transmission fluid line exploded (line was all rubbery and not sure if I was given the wrong type of hose or if that one was one that came with the transmission cooler i got) and in the process I saw the lower transmission fluid ripple thing was leaking. I took it off to inspect, looked good but I threw a new o ring on it and started to hand tighten it back on until I saw antifreeze leaking out as I applied pressure to it  ...its def cracked in that area. The annoying part is its a denso brand which i thought was suppose to be a good quality. Well now I have to buy another radiator. Anyone have suggestions on what brand to get this time around? The transmission cooler on the denso was junk

I've had decent luck with both TYC and Four Seasons, no real complaints from my customers. Somebody probably did give you the wrong hose, for transmission fluid you need "hot oil rated" hose (SAE J1532 is what you'll find in most parts stores). Regular BUNA fuel hose will soften and degrade, although you can use fuel hose with a synthetic liner like PTFE or Viton.
