new rack, connected, still stiff?

what the deal is?i posted earlier about my ps giving out and me replacing the rack..well today i did just that.

still pretty damn stiff.. i might just have to add more ATF fluid..

however, if its still stiff after i add more fluid to the correct mark.. does that mean the pump is bad?

after charging my battery and starting w/ new plugs and wires, my car idles a bit bumpy.its not horrible idle, but i can tell theres a noticeable burp during the idle.

what can it be????

You need to properly bleed the system. Here's a procedure taken out of the FSM:

well..i bled it.. still not smooth like it should be.. still as stiff as i got it before.

goodness.. this damn thing is pissing me off now...

when/if a pump is bad, doesnt it make squealing noises?my ps belt is on firmly and the ps pump is spinning.. but there is no squealing sound, as it should be, if the pump was bad..

anyone have any suggestions?
