Anyone know who sells new fenders for QX4's. I have rust coming through on my R/F fender. Rather than have the rust fixed I'm going to just put a new one on and have it painted. I've looked around but most places don't ship to canada.

One other thing. Ive been told that the fender from a 98 pathfinder won't work on the QX4's. Can someone verify that for me please?

its alot cheaper to get anything done in the states from my experience.

I went there and bought 2 fenders 2 bumpers and had my roof repaired and painted for less than what someone in ontario here wanted for just fixing my fenders.

When you come back across the border they will never know you had something done so there is no claiming anything

In the States it would be cheaper to get it all done, buying parts from the States and having them sent here and installed here might be quite expensive. Im actually getting my rust problems repaired as of typing this. I have a colleague that owed me a favor and fortunately they have family who does body work so Im cashing in.. lol.

From my knowledge the 98' pathfinder front fenders wont work as I think they have a little variance in the piece where it butts to the front bumper where you most likely have the rust. It may also look like that due to the fender flares too.

I'll try and attach a picture and try and point out where Im talking about.

theres a place by my house called Certifit that sells BRAND NEW unpainted QX4 fenders for $130 each. (compared to $15 for a brand new honda civic fender!!) Its not an OEM part but its still brand new and for the price, it cant be beat.

http://www.certifit.com/ Pathfinder will NOT work as the QX4 has special fender flares that the Pathfinder does not. Also, brand new fenders will NOT come with the plastic flares - its up to you to transfer it. See if there are any certifit retailers near you!

I think the distance circled in picture 2 is the distance that I believe is different but I my be wrong due to the fact that the pathfinder flares are thinner that the qx4

Since we're on the topic of rust. Yesterday I removed my rear fender flares to check out the rust situation. The body metal under the flares is alllllll rusted. It's just a matter of time before it spreads to the rest of the quarter panel. So if you take off your fender flares, you might be surprised how rusted your vehicle actually is.

$130 is a good price but I don't want to pay any duty when it crosses the border. My rust is right at the top where the fender meets the flare. It's alot cheaper to have a new fender painted than to spend the time trying to get all the rust out and never being 100% sure you got it all. It would suck to have the rust removed just to have to do it again down the road.

I know the dealer is going to bend me over but I'm going to see what they charge for one. Someone in Winnipeg has to be able to get them.
