new QX56 - need help on front parking (proximity) sensors

I do not want to get the technology package, which is the only way to get the front parking (proximity) sensors on the vehicle. Does anyone know of a workaround?

I know there are after market kits available, however I am not sure how well they work and what it takes to install them.
