New Q50S owner

In 2014, the G37 Sedan became Infiniti Q50. G37 Coupe and Convertible became Infiniti Q60 under Infiniti's new naming structure - Here's the place to discuss the Q50 and Q60!

Hey all, just got rid of my 06 G35 Coupe for a '17 Q50S w/ driver's assist, direct adaptive steering and the sport quilted seats. I'm also a certified Infiniti sales consultant so fire away those questions! Just thought I'd show the new car off, it's been a while since I've posted here :)

On a side not, has anyone had any luck getting a roof rack on their Q50's? There are no factory kits and from what I hear Thule hasn't touched the car yet either.

Nice ride! I need to re-host all my images so I could show you my white Q50, though it's a 15. I love my car. The 17s are so nice, and you did well by grabbing the quilted leather interior... it's so classy!

There is a guy that had a roof rack on his Q50 that has made it around the instagram waves. Let me see what I can dig up.

So someone must have been listening because what pulls up to my dealership today? A '16 RS400 with a Thule rack (aero blades and bike mount). Spoke to the owner, he is using a G37 sedan fit kit and it fits spot on, to the very last millimeter. As a bonus he also had Michelin Pilot Sports on it rather than the not so stellar run flats.

Very nice Q50.. I bought my '15 Q50S from Greenwich Infiniti. I'll definitely will be checking out the G37 Thule roof rack, tired of the trunk mounted bike rack I'm using now.

You're probably the right person to ask this question: I'm trying to shore up some room in my trunk for more space but the cross-brace behind the rear seat causes a sloping cover when I remove my spare tire kit (I have RFT). Can I safely remove this cross-brace? Is there another purpose other than the alleged safeguard against the spare tire flying forward in a head-on crash?

It's for vehicle stiffening and not a tire buffer as the tire should be screwed down anyway.
