New Q50 owner from the UK

In 2014, the G37 Sedan became Infiniti Q50. G37 Coupe and Convertible became Infiniti Q60 under Infiniti's new naming structure - Here's the place to discuss the Q50 and Q60!

Hi there, I've had my Q50 for 2 weeks now and it's a peach, easily the best car I've ever had.
I joined your site as there are no Q50 forums in the UK, it's a very rare car here.
In fact Infiniti are pulling out of western Europe in March.

Congrats - I've had several (I buy and sell them from auctions) and indeed, the Q50 is one of the best mid-size sedans out there.. I've had American, German, and Swedish - and I'll never again go with anything other than Japanese.

Yes. I have my eye on one but I have too much going on the next several days so I won't be able to go look at maybe for another week. So have to hope they don't sell it before then.

It's a 2016 2.0T with the premium plus package & leather package. Low mileage. And it's a CPO so it comes with a 6 year unlimited mileage warranty.

Doesn't look like I'm going to get that Q50. Drove by it today after church and it is still on the lot but has a sold sign on it. :(

I live in a large metro area (Minneapolis-St. Paul). There are lots of Q50s around here. Even a few 3.0t models in my price range.

That's good, would you consider a 3.0?
I actually have a Hybrid, absolutely amazing in my opinion.

You bet. The 3.0t would be my first choice if I can get one in my price range.

Well fingers crossed you come across one, I suppose the red sport is a step too far?

I test drove a 2016. 3.0T today. Very nice car with premium plus package. It was very fast for sure. And comfortable. The only thing that bothered me was the throttle seemed very touchy. It was hard to modulate, and way to easy to have it kick down. Have you experienced this with yours at all? I'm wondering if it might be a throttle calibration issue with this one car or if they are all like that?

No, nothing like that with mine, maybe the 3.0t is set up differently from the Hybrid or just that one as you say.
Maybe worth a try of another one somewhere to see if there is a difference.
Good luck with your search.

Well I have another one picked out to look at. It is essentially an identical car at a different dealership. I also drove a Maxima yesterday. It was very nice but I think I want to stick with AWD.

I've seen video's of the Maxima (not sold here) and to me anyway the Q50 is a better car, mine has AWD, nice to know it's there even though ii will probably never need it, totally flat where I live and very rarely have snow

I live in a winter wasteland. We actually only have two seasons: winter and winter will be right back.
