Hey guys, just another new q45 owner. I've got a few questions but nothing major.

1st question is about my car, it is red, but is Infiniti's name for the colour? It's a nice deep metallic red.

2nd is about the sound system. I've got a problem with squealing. I've traced it down to the bose speaker amps, is there a place I can find out more about fixing these myself?

Or maybe just how to get the front interior door panels off to fix the front speakers? That one's had me stuck too. It feels like there should be some screws hidden somewhere but I can't locate them.

Also for curiousity's sake is there somewhere I can read up on how the computer systems work on this car?

I've already heard about the timing chain guides, It's being driven gingerly until I can get into engine myself. I can't wait to tear into that marvel of a motor! Thanks guys.

Welcome to the club!! You can find many answers to your questions here. First, for most questions you can go to the search button and like magic threads will appear pertaining to the subject matter you searched for.

There is a recall on those Bose of yours. The Dealer can take care of that under the recall.

Crimson is red.

You have a first generation Q which is great. Please check the maint records of your Q as it is important to know exactly what has been done. You can get them from the Local infiniti dealer or like me( I live to far away), call one and have them send those records to you.

Pick a night and comb through these threads as you could put together a book of knowledge, transfer that knowledge to CD, then send me a CD. Ha, Really there is so much stuff here. Enjoy and have fun with the Q.

Welcome to the club, your Q as well as this site is like crack, the first hit is free, after that you have to pay but don't care.

^ couldnt have said it better.....

Once a NICO addict, ALWAYS.. Its contageous and often times prevents you from doing other productive things (like work, homework, having a life, etc).....

1. In the earlier years it was called burgundy berry... Crimson pearl was later IIRC... Look on the drivers side firewall to see your color code (on the plate)..... If it says AL0 that means its crimson pearl, otherwise its burgundy berry...

2. Like they said, the dealer should take care of the amps..... :)

There is a step by step somehwere on the door panels... Basically you slide back the armrest, remove 3 screws, pry off the plastic surround for the seat controls, and right above the grab handle is the final one... Unscrew, and then there are clips going all around. Best to pry them off individually.....

1990 models are not covered by the recall, but you can give it a try.
