Hey guys, got my first Q today. I have a couple of tech questions.First, the guy I got the car from had the timing chain mod done and said it has run rough ever since. It sounds to me like one of the cams might be out of time.My question is can you remove the covers from the cam gears and see the timing marks fairly easy? Also where is the best place to get the bose speakers from or is it a deal like the z's and you are cheaper to gut and replace the system?

1. Welcome to NICO, thanks for stopping in.. Congrats on your purchase of that 1992 Q452. Good news that the guides are already changed3. Possibly, I agree.. seems suspect, have you considered looking into injectors, thats nother common problme on the Qs.4. You have to remove the valve covers to see the cam sprokets that have the timing marks on there... My guess is youd have to remove the upper front cover and valve covers in order to adjust it.. 5. The Q setup is pretty mucht he same as the Zs, so yes I agree, its probably easier and cheaper to gut it.....

Welcome, fatboybell. On the getting up at 3:30 a.m. just to look at her - yep, I know how that goes. It doesn't go away.

Since you already answered THE most important question yourself (timing guides) - how about some pictures? :-)
