I just installed some Python injectors in February and everything was fine up until 3 weeks ago. 90 240 started getting really hard to start. Had to try several times to crank it over before it would go! Then 2 weeks ago it would not start at all. I took it to my mechanic as I could not figure it out and he said that the injectors poured so much fuel in that I had it in my crankcase. He did a complete tune-up and oil change and it ran ok till this morning and now won't start again! I had it towed to the mechanic again to look at but I figured in the meantime I would see if the resident online mechanic had any ideas! Or anyone else for that matter. Today I was going to go get a fuel filter and o2 sensor as those were recommended to me as needing to be replaced. Any ideas would be appreciated!

hi i also have python injectors installed about 2 years ago... but i'm not having problems w/ it.

i'm not a mech, but i'm guessing your ecu is reading someting that maybe your engine is too cold: check for codes to see if maybe you have a malfunctioning temp sensor, that 2-plug connector near the air bleed valve, not that 1 wire connector for your dash gauge.

that's 1 of many problems... since your flooding your car, i'm guessing the filter isn't cloggin up so that can be in the backburner til you find the main cause.

there's also a test to see if your fuel pressure regulator is up to par.

another thing, maybe you got crappy new injectors... might have to switch them out w/ replacements... theres a test for that as well... removing the fuel rail w/ the injectors still connected, turn key on but not to start the car, hear that fuel pump pressurize the fuel system, then check to see if your new pythons are leaking....

good luck!

Just got the coolant temp sensor and 02 sensor and will install on Friday. Both the mechanic and the company I bought the injectors from thinks these two should help do the trick!

did the ECU spit out the codes for those 2 sensors?dont let them throw parts @ it w/out knowing...

codes 13 for engine temp sensor or wiring and 33 for oxygen sensor or the wiring.oh, if you got a CA emissions car w/ a check engine light on the dash, then you'll see code 45 from the ECU.

you can also check the engine temp sensor by unpluggin it, using an ohmmeter, read the ohms as the temp rises. it should go from about 3 Kohms to about .30Kohms

I had a similar problem with four new Python inj. from NOPI, except mine were leaking internally and back up through the inj. plug. Depending on when you bought them, you should be able to return them and have replacements - I did - 1 1/2 years ago and they have fine since.

If they're leaking that much you might want to check the seals...they could be pinched. I once replaced an injector. Everything was fine for about 50 miles, then it started leaking really bad...lots of white smoke coming out the exhaust. Get it fixed soon...the leak is killing that cylinder by washing away all the oil. The 1 cylinder on my car with the leak is about 5psi lower on a comp check, and I didn't drive it that much before I fixed it.

Are those injectors also called Venom? Please let us know the outcome of your fix.

Replaced the o2 and coolant temp sensors, fuel filter and luckily got my Injen Intake and installed everything--so far so good! Will give an update in a couple days as I know I need to give the car time to adjust to the new stuff! But as of right now, I can feel a little more power and it seems to be running better than it has in a while!

With the injectors, are you guys buying the new ones, or the rebuild ones?
