Hi guys! I just wanted to post my recently acquired 1989 s13 coupe. Image Image Image Image Image
I picked her up for $600 bucks! PO said it was parked for about 6 months due to an overheating issue. It has a couple dents, but other than that it has no rust, or at least I haven't found any yet. Windshield and sunroof are cracked as well. But I expect to fix all those little issues and at least get it running before I start building it! Anyways, I just wanted to introduce myself and see what you guys thought.

Well I plan on at least getting the ka24e running but then I don't know whether to go straight to the Sr swap or go for a ka24e-t. What do you guys think?

I say upgrade the engine, but then again it all comes down to what you really want to do with the 240. The sohc isnt that well, BUt if your going to have this car as drift car or auto x, I say either upgrade to sr or dohc ka, cant really go wrong with either one Im sure. My current setup is a sr and I love it!

Drift my 240 and auto x it

i wouldnt even fix the SOHC. id pull it out and get a known running KA24DE for a few hundred bucks. it would save you the time of fixing the single cam and give you a car that works. odds are the sohc you have will need to be rebuilt anyways so the motors gotta come out, instead of spending money to fix it spend the cash on a twin cam.

Well, I've been browsing the ka-t forums and there are some pretty awesome ka24e-t builds.

Congrats man! I too am a proud owner of an S14 as of two days ago!

The craiglist posting of my car. I paid asking, mainly because the guy threw in a stock front pumper cover and grill...not to mention I checked and he JUST put a brand new set of "sticky stuff" pads on...so I felt okay.

I'll post pics as soon I can figure out how that works haha. Though the fender, hood and grill need to be painted as well as part of the door...the interior is pretty flawless and it drives amazing.

Curious though if anyone else's Air Con takes a bit to cool...maybe like 5 to 10 minutes? Could be just the Florida heat.
