HI! i'm new to posting but have been browsing these forums for awhile. I picked up my first nissan project car. A 1990 240sx hatch back with an obd1 k24de swapped in. well...after slowly driving it to san diego from los angeles with no mafs for $650!. I start really looking at what im going to spend money on and something has me puzzled. My transmission is open right behind the oil pan. there mounting holes in the transmission and im wondering if maybe its not the correct transmission or im missing something. I cant get a picture at the moment but would anyone be able to take some pictures of where your transmission meets the block for me? and also some ways of identifying a de tranne from other trannys that bolt up to the de block. if any?.

cool. are the reinforcing brackets also called gussets?. i think when i pull it to do the clutch i should be able to clean/replace anything that may have been damage from dirt and who knows what else that entered here.
