So, Here's what I am working with... Please give some input, ideas and suggestions,

I have picked up 2 S13s,

1989 complete with a DOHC hack job, not running, but told it just needs some wiring...

Came with Silvia metal fenders, 3in down pipe and full magna flow exhaust,

1992 Running with 277k on it, I drove it 2 hours home did some donuts and then it quit running, when i jump it it will start but as soon as i take the wires off it cuts off.... I am assuming its a bad alternator, battery or both.... also the front end shakes when i brake, is that the rotors?

I also have a wrecked 1997 S14, its complete minus front end.Is the S14, Brakes an upgrade to the S14s? does the suspension swap over? should i do the 5 lug with 350z wheels or get the Rota Grids?

Is the SOHC wiring the same as the DOHC?

ill get pics up soon

thanks!

Had to edit out the parts for sale bits as this isn't Classifieds and you don't have the required 10 posts to use them yet.

Your assumptions on the alt/battery and brake rotors seem like what I'd check first, too. I doubt S14 brakes are any type of real upgrade, and suspension doesn't swap between chassis' easily, plus stock-for-stock isn't worth it. The SOHC and DOHC harnesses are different. Yes, go 5 lug on whatever car you're gunna work on more.... wheels are all preference.

I know the diff carrier should have an orange sticker on it that says vlsd, but thats on the s13's not sure if the s14 have it as well. It should though.
