Hey all this is the crazy canadian here i just bought a 96 nissan 240sx LE model the body except for a few small dings is almost perfect and the motor and chasis is in excellent condition the car is in almost new shape it was a babied car anyways im going to build this car into a speedy monster and am not sure what to do with it first now ive already bought a K&N short ram air intake(the Typhoon) and am waiting for the part to come in to install it the question now is where should i go from there i was thinking i should work on the suspension and chasis strength and am thinking going for sway bars and a strut brace but not sure in which direction to go and since im buying in peices not all at once (you know money these days) a general idea in what would be best to keep the car in good shape as well as able to deal with the power i intend to put into the motor im going to go for turbo but should i get better cam and pistons first or ignition system or exhaust any local people with experience would be a great help but people with knowledge is a big help from anywhere really cheers to you 240 pilots!!

first and formost get suspension and brakes. a high horsepower car is worthless without it. most including me will recommend coilovers as a good starting point

okplease use periods/question marks etc.. make paragraphs like that easier to read.

but to start out.id repair anything that may be broken/worn/oldlike bushings/brakes/a major tune up is also a good idea.

now for mods..to start like the previous poster added..id start with suspension and brakes.there are many ways to go towards these two things depending on how extreme you want to take it.

as far as power goes..intakes and exhausts wont do much for you.if you want power/ forced induction is almost the easiest way to go. with the exception of nitrous.

and lastly. research research research!!!cant stress that enough.you'll be surprised at the stuff you can learn about your car by searching this forum.

now pics would be nice

good one e7 i almost forgot all about basic maintainance. do that first. make sure you have a mechanically sound car before you start to upgrade.

Ok well captain obvious lol i already have done the maintenence everything except for a compression test. Which i will be doing in the next two weeks as for suspension i was leaning towards that also. What would you suggest i was thinking about gooing with Tokiko shocks and springs and maybe a strut bar from tien or DC along with sway bars which i havent decided on yet my funds are slow to get to me so help on places to shop or sites to visit would also be a big plus what do you think??
