ditto on all these questions. price on the strut bar is def gonna be a deciding factor on where my money goes.Jose3.5 wrote:What about the rear for the sedan? How much for the strut bar? You guys do great work!
damn i was hoping you werent gonna phrase it that way, haha. i know your quality is top notch and so is your service. i may just have to flip a coin.kyle@stillen wrote:Hey Guys,
I don't want to say anything negative about a competitor's product. All I can say is that to compare prices you must look at the materials and manufacturing processes involved in building a part.
We are more expensive than Racingline. Their bar is going to go for $119.00, ours is going to be $219.00. But, our bar is CNC machined 6061-T6 billet aluminum. This is the same material used in military aircraft. The mounting rings are precision, CNC, laser cut steel with a silver zinc plating. We acknowledge that we went overboard on this bar but for us, there's no other way to do it.
I don't know what material Racingline is using and I don't know what their manufacturing process is.

T6 is extremely high quality. It is a bit overboard but I guess its go big or go home. We use this same alloy in the composite of the planes I work on everyday. With that being said, I've never seen a structure related problem on my aircraft since I've worked on them. Also, this type of aluminum takes very good to milling, so none of the holes or engravings made into this STB effect the rigidity. It will hold tight and look incredible. Another great design from the team at STILLENkyle@stillen wrote: But, our bar is CNC machined 6061-T6 billet aluminum. This is the same material used in military aircraft.
Thank you very much for chiming in on this thread. I hope you did not take my earlier post as negative towards your product. That was not my intention at all. In fact, I think highly of your parts and recommend to all of our customer's that they purchase a set of your sway bar endlinks to compliment our rear sway bar.Racingline wrote:I'm not going to comment much as this is a Stillen thread and I respect it as such, a big factor is our overheads are ALOT lower. With that said machining a bar the way Stillen does is an expensive process that produces a very unique look. Outside of the costs associated with milling the aluminum, all material and craftsmanship is on par IMO
Without having actually test fit the bar with numerous different intakes I am going to venture to guess that yes, it will fit with every intake currently available. We have tested the bar on our car with one of our intakes and our design is alot like Injen's or Fujita's.Bmore-coupe wrote:i know that this question was asked when the strut bar was originally brought up, but not sure if it was answered: will the strut bar fit over all or most intakes that are available now for our cars?
Surman, this is NICO... we don't take a sh*t unless they offer the toilets in a group buy...LOLsurmanm wrote:Do i smell a group buy on they way ???
