I am happy to announce that TTC Performance, a specialty company in Florida well known in the Supra industry, is going to make a really nice part for the SR20DET motor. We have worked with TTC for a while in the Supra community and thus will be distributing this cover for them to the SR20 crowd.

This beautiful machined aluminum SR20DET coil pack cover features a T6 6061 aircraft grade aluminum construction, a light 7 ounce weight, and center vents to keep the coil packs cool under hard driving. The perfect and precise fit of the cover into the spark plug valley is a testimony to ultra high quality of this piece. This machined aluminum spark plug cover is the perfect addition to any "flat top" SR20DET equipped engine bay. It is even clear coated to help protect against any oil spray ruining the awesome look of this piece.

We will be offering this piece for $99 and want to see what kind of interest there is.

This product will be ready to ship in less than 1 week, March 8th!!

Here are some pictures of this new cover:

MVP looks forward to shipping this product to any SR20 owners in the very near future. I hope you guys are as happy with this killer looking part as we are!!

Regards,

Dusty

Wow, looks nice!

I prefer to run without any spark plug cover at all so as to allow the most amount of air to the coil packs to keep them cooler. Any type of cover is going to hold in heat no matter if it has vents or not, and the stock plastic piece will transmit less heat than aluminum too.

a cover that acts as a heat sink would be awesome.

$100 isn't so bad. We paid far out the *** for a motor swap, turbo, electronics, and turbo, so what's another $100 for something as hot looking as this? I don't believe for one bit that all of us SR20DET owners are as poor as people usualy think we are. SR20DET owners are just cheap, and that's disgraceful.

You don't walk into the jewelers whining that you can't afford the diamonds. Just buy the cover because you know you want it, and yu know that MVP supports this forum from day one.

No, Implying that all of us are cheap is what's disgraceful.

The fact that I saved enough money to upgrade my car simply does Not imply that I would feel justified in spending 'just $100 more' for a piece of engine bay dress-up. For you and those of you who do, good for you! It DOES look hot. And I really Would like to own one.

However, the fact that my opinion of thinking $100 is a *little* steep does not justify financially classifying 'all of us SR20DET owners' or give you the right to judge any one of us.

No offense to MVP, these look like they were made up on nice equipment. I can already tell you won't have any problems selling them. I realize CNC Machines aren't cheap, I just wish this product were a tad cheaper in a group buy type deal.

You're right, You don't go into the diamond store without money. You also don't surf the internet and find that everyone's exactly like you.

I didn't imply it, I said it outright. You should see how much a cover plate like this is for other engine platforms, 2 to 3 times as much. Spending $99.00 for something of this obvious high quality is not out of the question, and I believe that MVP has their pricing spot on.

Remember that in this hobby, presentation is half of the meal. Even if the car is fast, a dirt bomb engine bay gets no respect. I'd order one of these while MVP still has them around.

lol, some of us dont give a **** what other people think let alone try to show off our engine bays. not that mine's a mess, but I keep it clean for ME. I'm already well respected for non-material reasons.

I hear ya' man. I like a shining engine bay myself, whereas others don't want that. To me, this item was a godsend, but others might not even notice it.
