Welll i installed my waterpump the other day and today i re-installed everything in place and finished my piping. Now the car start and idle fine for 6 second and complety shutoff...

i dont know whats the problem....

any insight ? i think i didnt replace the timing belt correctly it has 39 cog betwen the two cam and 48 cogs on the right side ... my crank shaft was a litlle off the mark, down there, can it be the problem?

thx

Thats normal, the problem seems from the injectors as the engine has been sitting for while, if it revs fine and sounds fine, give it some gas and drive it around for a bit, use some injector cleaner with your gas and it should solve your problem

yep the idle part sound alright it shut off all of sudden after 4-5 second and i need to give a good kick on the gaz pedal to get it rev.

thx ill try that :)

the only code is 13 , its the water temp sensor... and its new soo the wiring must be cut somewhere

If your valves are being interfered with, you will never be able to idle the car. Check your compression ASAP.

One lesson learned that I will never do again, I changed the Waterpump at like 3am on my 91 Tsi Awd, install went fine, car ran fine till the next day, seems that it was the timing belt tensioner that wasn't tight, and bam all intake valves bent.

ill will try to wire one of my old ka24E maf that was know to work before removed...

i will check if some of my coil are bad i checked the ignitor and its fine ... anyway i really dont know what that damn engine is doing... it was keeping idle before my waterpump change.

did a compression test1 1652 1553 1604 165

I tried 3 maf one CA maf and 2 Ka24E maf ..and the Ecu is always giving me code 12.... the two Ka24E maf were in working order. And i checked the signal at the Ecu and the voltage was changing when someone was blowing on it fro 0.8... to 5....

any insight ? could i got a bad Ecu ?

more im thinking about it and reading some post im pretty sure i have a huge boost leak....my spark plug are Ultra black and they runned maybe 15 min. today i will recheck all the routing ! my air regulator and the AAC are not connected ill try to something with that ... in my intake piping for the turbo i made a connector to plug the small tube on the valver cover its like that

turbo ----------- pipe from th valve cover------------- maf--airfilter

is that alright ? cauz its look like the stock setup.. maybe the engine suck up unmetered air from there ...gonna block that off to see if it run better

now its working on 3 cylinder im gonna check at my injector from now.. ill keep ya updated.. !

Well .... it was my fault... i did not follow the vaccum line...

my air regulator and FICD was not connected to anything (vacuum related) soo it wouldnt idle.. i just plugged everything .. did some ghetto work to get it into my turbo intake pipe, cuz i didnt have a hole on my charge pipe for it.. but its doing the same job :)

well.. while trying to know whats was the problem... i fried my Ecu... i shorted the ground and 12 volt from the maf connector.. so now my ecu is always giving me code 12.. and its running in Limp mode... i tried 2 ka24E maf that was working before... soo i think my Ecu is bad...

not to be a d***, but i think you should use the down time to clean your engine bay. degreaser and rustoleum work wonders.

You know im living up there (canada) and this dirt(antirust treatment) is real good to keep rust away of our Rust pit 240sx... its not a show car anyway. ill clean it real good when i got a garage to store it in winter.

actually it will do the opposite. Dirt will hold the moisture and keep it up on the metal so that it will rust faster.
