Background: Installed an aftermarket headunit 1+ months ago. Recently installed the steering wheel control adapter 2 weeks ago. I installed HID's prior to the stereo install and started having issues with one of my HID's not firing (about 3 weeks ago) which is car-related because during troubleshooting, both kits worked on one side.

Problem: I have been driving around perfect for 1+ months then all of a sudden (end of last week) the radio starts switching between sources then shuts off. Has anyone had this issue and if so, what was the solution?

I am leaning toward an electrical system problems with the car. Too many issues with the electric to be a coincidence. I have ordered the HID relay so hoping this evens out my distributon. Would a grounding kit solve this?

Well, it looks like there were some wires that were not totally cleaned up (covered/insulated). I went in and taped all the "loose ends" I could find and things are running smooth. Sorry to have wasted the space on the forums with this...but maybe there are other amateur installers like me that can benefit from this minor oversight...
