so i got it running tonight, no lights were on. got maybe 8 blocks from my house and the op light is on. so i turn around and head back to the house. get out look around. theres no leaks. get back in and turn the car back on and my light starts blinking on and off it doesnt know what it wants to do. now if i give it some gas itll go off then soon as the rpms drop it goes right back on

Well it would probably be easier to get a front cover with a working pump from a donor car or something.

I'm pretty sure if you installed an o-ring wrong, something won't be working correctly.

Seriously, you can get an OEM oil pump/front timing cover for 140 from a dealer? Can i buy like.. 5 of those? Lmao

First off, your pissing in the wind replacing the gears. The gears are stainless steel, the housing(front lower timing cover) is aluminum. Guess which wears first.

Second, your oil pressure loss is a symptom of a greater problem. Replacing the pump is not going to fix it. Your engine is most likely toast. How many miles on the motor? Dont run the motor with that oil pressure light on. You ARE destroying the motor(even more so!) if you do so.
