I have a bad injector #4.I also have a cut muffler with just cats riding right now. When i turned my car on today and yesturday it began to shake and rpm at <800 and then back up then down and i floored it in park and it sounds like it back fires with a pop or sometimes soft popping.Today like 10mins ago i just reved it up when it was doing that and it was fine.Think maybe it's the cats with no pipes?Or could it be my bad injector?

Every since the injector my car rpms high most times.Could it be running rich?Still drives smooth though.

They car was on a slope at the time too.Thanks.Injector hopefully fixed soon.

Now now, Do you have a laptop and a consult adapter?

An Ebay conectors:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...Tools

And my personal favorite:

Tell the guy Paul sent you and your from NICO so he will give you a discount.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...Tools

Then use that program to turn off each cylinder to see which on is bad, (You would know when the car shakes more or less) Less or no shakes means thats a bad cylinder (Injector or spark plug).

Or you can go over to some one who has that connector and use theres IE: Mike Goodwin or some one else.

Good luck, Never give up on your car.

I think your problem is the injector... they tend to come and go for a while... how do you know that it's #4, ohm test?

Yup #1,2,3,5,6,7,8 all ohm at 12.9-13 i think it was #4 ohm at 16.7.Im thinking of replacing engine not soon or anything just had a though in mind.Plus with injectors being 100 a piece and being able to buy just one after market one for 75, makes me lag.I rather get all aftermarket if not atleast replace #4 with one that matchs all.

Check fuel pressure. Running lean will cause a backfire.
